Ear, nose, throat or neck biopsy

It is the removal or removal of a small piece of tissue for later examination in the laboratory. A needle biopsy is done using local anesthesia. This mean that you remain relaxed (sedated) or asleep and pain free during the procedure. It takes place in a hospital operating room.

The surgeon makes an incision in the affected area and removes the tissue.

After the extraction, the tissue is sent to be analyzed by a pathologist and once the diagnosis is made, the definitive treatment can be provided.
